need a quiet card

Ok, planning a client build. I need a card in the 5xx range but needs to be as silent as possible. Aftermarket cooler is not an option. 580 might be out of range in general and was leaning towards a 570, but a single/dual 560 is an option. Ideas?

What is your client going to be using the build for? As far as silence, I'd think you could create a custom fan profile for whatever card you get, and that should keep it quiet.

I'm super impressed with my EVGA 560 as compared to either of my last 2 cards, an EVGA 460 EE and a XFX 5750. Still plenty quiet at load only running the fan at 50%.

I have a reference 570, and after a bit of tweaking I got a custom fan profile that kept it relatively quiet and cool. I'd post a pic, but I'm not at home right now.

So sounds like a fan profile is my best bet, next question i guess is....

Asus vs EVGA?
So when you stated no aftermarket cooler you didnt mean it as in the installation was out of the question but a non reference cooler was the only option given spacing i assume? The accelero is the very most silent air cooler you can get and its already installed onto this model.

previous posting of mine is what im referring to

Looks like a great card, the problem is... 1st its a 580, which he doesn't really want, and 2nd he wants to stick to asus or evga, maybe gigabyte for the right reasons.

Okay i better understand your standpoint. i would agree with a fan profile then as well
