I always loved C&C games as it was the first game i played on my dad's laptop smile.gif (Yes i didn't have a computer before that, just my consoles!).

That being said the only horrible C&C game for me in the entire franchise was C&C4 and a previous poster already stated why it came out as horrible as it did. That being said I had to play it just to know the end of the story smile.gif

Now for people bashing EALA and saying Westwood was much better, you have to keep in mind that when EA bought Westwood, half the team became EALA and the other half made Petroglyph studio. If you buy any of the collector games (I have C&C3) the head of EALA is also mentioned as the co-founder of Westwood and other intervewees mention their past workings on C&C games.

Now in regards to this game I hope they make it a good game. The mention of Facebook and M&M though doesnt really bode well for me. I hope we dont get a strategy game that is end-turn with base building on specific areas only tongue.gif Rember Dune2, followed by C&C were the originators of basebuilding RTS !

Red alert 2 best game ever! I wish they would make a game like this again, red alert 3 sucks.

When RA3 came out I was like "OMG RA3 RA3 RA3" but once I played it I realized they turned it into utter ****, I want the old RA back.

Slow, complex base building is a thing of the past now.
same. i've been thinking back and realising that there are a lot of genres that have died off yet they were fun. many games these days aren't fun. they're big, flashy, and "gritty" but just not fun or enjoyable past a certain point

i feel that way about GTA IV. overhyped to who knows hwere, and back, but at the end of the day it's not very fun and really, it isn't, in my mind, a GTA. i mean coming from San An where you had all these kooky missions, and a fun reason to just cause chaos and they stripped all of that away for an "HD" experience. meh

i fear the same will be happening with Dragon Age 2

and don't get me started on the cartoon-fest travesties that are RA3 and C&C4. FWIW, RA1 was the first game i played on PC

Not a fan of RA3 or C&C after C&C 2. Maybe it's just me but I hate having to set up so many godamn things to get get resources. I know that's kind of the point of RTS's, but I much prefer the Company of Heroes style these days. *shrug* LEt's hope that they can provide a good game.

RA2 was the best of the series IMO. If the new one doesn't equal it, it'll end up being sorely disappointing.

I'd like to see all of my favorite 'back in the day' games come back, but I'd rather see them left in their graves before seeing some cheezy and horrible clone take it's namesake.

God, I would love to have a modern Descent, Mechwarrior or Battlezone sequel that lived up to their names...

Current sale prices speak for how good a game is. C&C 4 is about $5 on Steam whereas C&C 3 is around $15 and $25 for the expansion combo.

C&C 4 was a terrible way to end the game. They wanted to try something new but it ultimately failed... D:
