apsalus 90(h70) mod advice

Hey all, I'm going to be building a "scratch" SFF pc that will be cooled by the Scythe Apsalus 90.

It looks like it uses the same pump as the corsair h70, and they're both produced by Asetek. Space will be extremely limited in my build and I need to shorten the tubing. Adding a res won't really be an option unless I go back to the drawing board. After some research I've found that some people are modding h50's and h70's and simply putting different tubing on them. This is basically what I'll be doing, but in my case I need to make the tubing pretty short. Like 5 inches. So, my question is, after shorteningtubing, will it still be a true sealed loop? What kind of maintenance should I expect if I use this method? What type of tubing should I use to prevent evaporation?

example:

Any help is appreciated.

Will it still be a true sealed loop? Of course, just make sure you take your time and make sure you tighten the tubing with zip ties so nothing breaks loose.

Maintenance? As long as you use distilled water and something like PT Nuke, you should be good for a while. As for tubing, I doubt you have to worry about evaporation.
