I humbly disagree, I believe the 690 II advanced is the best midtower in the $80-$90 range. It is a clean design, high airflow, semi-customizable out of the box, easy to conceal wires, support for ten 120mm fans, support for up to two 240mm radiators internally, has a top mounted plug and go bay for hdds, bottom mounted psu, and looks quite badass in my opinion.

I was looking around for cases, and I saw the Thermaltake/BMW case. I remember a while ago when I did my first build this case was being talked about. How is it, really? I saw there is like more than one version of it, a cheaper and more expensive case? But couldn't find any difference.. One smaller than the other maybe?

Ohh, I so like that one a little bit. Although I don't mind lashing out the extra money for a more expensive case like the Sniper. mentioned before in this thread. Seems a little easier to manage. Thoughts on the BMW case?

Aren't the i5 2500k and the i7 2600k currently outperforming all of the phenom II processors by a landslide? That and, the gtx 570/580 seem like the best high end single card solutions too.

I've been away from the PC scene ever since I built my computer and started selling cell phones. So I'm a bit behind. I am looking to buy everything in 3 seperate transactions, first the tower and everything inside of it, then the GPU, and down the road a new monitor. The monitor I'll buy in store, I don't need help with that.

So for CPU, I know we're in an AMD category forum here, but honesty is always welcome. What's the better deal for a high end CPU that isn't crazily priced above 500 bucks. For RAM, I want at least 8 gigs, I heard Ripjaw is good(I think I messed up the name). The hard drives, I'll probably start with 2 Samsung Spinpoint 1TB drives. And eventually get a SSHD for Windows.

So this is my current status, not a lot of progress unfortunately. I'm going to be selling my old PC I have now, so nothing is being kept from it, I'll rebuy things. so if anything you see on my new write up looks like it can be upgraded for a maintainable price, suggest it please! Also, honesty is always welcome, what setup I should go with (AMD, ATI, Intel, Nvidia).
