Help me decide

Hi, i am in the prcoess of upgrading my rig.

Atm im thinking about getting the MSI 560GTX Twin Frozr II which can get for about $300au.

Now i have always liked to go SLI but never had a board to do it but now i do. The question is should i stay with this card or get something a bit cheaper and go SLI. My budget is a max of $350-400au so im all ears to any suggestions.

The GTX560ti is a great choice.
But if you could always get a GTX4XX series card and SLI them.
Depends on if you want the latest and greatest or some slightly older cards.

If it's just for one monitor, I would go for a 2gb 6950 and unlock it to a 6970, or a gtx 570. If you wanted to not spend as much, the gtx 560 is great too. You could also go for something like 2 6870s or 6850s.

I would suggest you sticking with a single MSI 560GTX Twin Frozr II, for now. If you choose two cheaper/lesser cards for SLI, you will likely have to upgrade your PSU as well. Due to current limited budget , this is not advisable.

So, buy one now and save up more $ for a second GTX560 as well as for a more powerful PSU . Your Corsair VX550 is good enough for a single GTX560.

As for your current 9800GTX OC, I would normally suggest to try it out as a Physx card. However, your Corsair VX550 neither has enough PCIE connectors nor enough power to drive both cards, I suggest you to sell it (or keep it as a backup card) and use the proceeds to finance the 2nd GTX560 + stronger PSU.
