Out of two months total...

I kid kid. It really is too early to say either way what is or isn't "safe" for these SB chips. Let's re-open this story in 1-2 years and see how many of those 1.5v+ procs are still running.

Ya? It's like playing Russian roulette. For all you know your computer could be kaput tomorrow morning or two years from, but now you just increased the chances of it happening tomorrow a whole lot more. You can't put an exact number on it or say it's good now it'll be good later. It's like saying I drove home drunk 5 times in the last month, what's 1 time more gonna hurt.

my sentiments exactly.

I don't think the majority of hardcore overclockers will be using this exact chip for 24/7 a few years from now(at least not as their primary rig). These are dirt cheap cpu's and I have no problem running a train on Sandy's vcore. As it stands, I keep mine at 5ghz 1.42 vcore under load, >8hours blend stable for 24/7 and 5.3 @ 1.49 load just for the fahk of it in gaming or benching. Anything more than 5.3 on my chip needs retarded vcore and the gains aren't really worth it. There's ppl over at xtremesystems posting at 5.8 @1.64 so *** knows how these things will hold up.

That's more of my stable benching clock It's at 4.2 right now for 24/7 Lol

Edit: There you go, changed my signature to reflect it just for you

Even if I did run 4.8GHz 24/7, mines at a MUCH lower voltage than his 5.2.

You should be folding, it's the easiest excuse for an overkill system plus you do some good!
