Weird error in the event viewer, ATI MOM?

Well, I'm looking around in the event viewer for the cause to audio stutters I'm getting in games, sometimes the framerate cuts in with the stutters aswell.

This event is being called every minute:

Code:
0000000036: 2011-02-22 11:20:59:543 Exception <Killing CCC0 Process>: Process with an Id of 4636 is not running.
 Exception  Called by: ATI.ACE.MOM.Implementation.StateMachineToolkit.Transition::PerformActions                        processID:04324 threadID:(MOM_STM_DelegateThread) domainName:(MOM.exe                    ) assemblyName:(MOM.Implementation, Version=3.5.4043.31964, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=90ba9c70f846762e)
************************************************************************************************************************
I've also been having issues with alot of other annoying bugs win Win7, and I'm trying to deal with them all. This being one of them, http://social.technet.microsoft.com/...d-9f3b2644fad6

Also some apps randomly die as soon as they are launched, or freeze as soon as they start doing something. The fact that MBAM is doing this as well as MS Security Essentials is starting to worry me that this may be a virus, very unlikely but definately a possibility.

Any/all input appreciated.

holy mother of god, your mom is ATI?!

just kidding, anyways, have you tried re-installing your drivers?
I remember I had an issue like this (but with games only) I have to remove and OC I had and reformat. hopefully you will not have to. Good luck mate.

Edit: Have you also tried updating to Service pack 1?
or just Windows update in general, I know they have a ton of hotfix's and fix's on there.

Yeah I've reinstalled twice now, once quick, once fully. No dice.

No havn't installed SP1 but there's no link on M$'s site for it yet, I'll have a hunt around see if I can find it somewhere else.

I'm having similar issues with my computer. I think I have a different process ID that its trying to kill, but i tried reinstalling the drivers both with and without running drivesweeper, as well as reverting to previous drivers and ccc. I'm also still getting this after a fresh clean install of win7 pro and ahve updated including sp1.

Hmm, I think I am having the same problem - get this message before random crashes:

Exception <Killing CCC0 Process>: Process with an Id of 4868 is not running.
Exception Called by: ATI.ACE.MOM.Implementation.StateMachineToolkit.Tra nsition:erformActions

Anyone have any fixes yet? I also had a crash when I scrolled in IE, but that seems to be fixed so far by turning off smooth scrolling.
