EVO Shift for sprint is a monster when overclocked to 1.2ghz. Im glad i pulled the trigger on it. Going from WM 6.5 to Android 2.2 is night and day.

If he's always had iPhones, that means he's likely had AT&T. I was assuming he'd either get AT&T (Atrix) or some other provider which I think the Bionic will be Verizon.

Have you ever thrown a custom ROM on your Intercept? I'd strongly advise you to try it, it'll make a world of a difference! You have an Android phone, use it for what its purpose is!
No, I haven't looked into it. I did change the default home screen to one that's supposedly a little faster... I forget what it was called. It did change the menu option to side scroll instead of default which was an improvement.

I've been busy moving, so I'll probably toy around with customizing it when I get settled again. Like I said, overall I'm fairly happy with it, it just has a few usability quirks that seem to be caused primarily by the need to look pretty.

There are Windows laptops with the same or better build quality. Great examples are the HP Envy, the Lenovo (IBM) ThinkPad, and many others.

As for the iPhone build quality (or lack thereof), it's awful. There's tons of videos about the whole glass shattering from not resisting 3 foot drops. That's what they get for using glass that is so hard all throughout the phone. That, and sometimes it can't even perform its most basic duty, making calls, well.

Of course there are laptops with the same sort of build quality as an Macbook, but the vast majority fall well short. I used to sell laptops, including Windows based ones and the Macbooks.

My point is, oh the whole, Mac based products tend to be of very good quality and that is a unique selling point. Whether or not you think so, it's just the general consensus of the marketplace.

iPhones are not Ferraris. They are made in China just like every other phone, caressed by a young Chinese woman's hands that have been working 18 hour shifts..

Remember when the Evo screens were coming apart? Remember when the Droid hinges were breaking? Remember when the Droid X had/still has GPS issues? There's tons of reports on that, but you would never post about those.

I've dropped my iPhone 4 face down on concrete and not a scratch. Some people are just unlucky. I don't even have a screen protector on it. I've even kicked my phone when it's falling and it's fine. I also make calls perfectly fine, and get faster speeds than all other networks in my area. Now, downtown Los Angeles is a different story. My friend and his Evo demolish my speed with 4G.

I like seeing this. I want to rub it in the faces of the kids who have iPhones in my classes.

But then again, a majority of them have never heard the Android OS...
