[Microsoft] Free Microsoft Certification Exam - Page 4

Well, on prometric's site there's these options:

Microsoft (070, 071, 074, 075, 076, 078, 083, MBx)
Microsoft Academic (072, 094)
Microsoft Certified Master Programs
Microsoft IT Academy Exams (073, 096)
Microsoft Masters Program: Lab Based Exams Only

Being a noob to Microsoft certs... which would be the best option to go with? I am inclined to say the first, correct?

EDIT: Oh crap there's even more sub-categories after that, DOH!

The code only allows you to gain access to the second one - Microsoft Academics (072).
If you scroll down the DreamSpark page where you get the code, it tells you that.
Those choices you get after that are the individual tests you can choose from.

Another thing to realize is that even though you're using what seems like a different category (the 072's), if you pass them those still count towards the professional certifications (ie. MCSA, MCSE, etc.).

They're academic versions (probably just so they can track adult vs student interest in their certs and who's actually passing them). The content and knowledge required is the same between the academic and non-academic from what I understand.

Hope it goes well! I'm still studying. It's VERY long. mad.gif

I know it's all multiple choice. From what I heard it isn't hard, but you got to remember EVERYTHING. Like they aren't going to get you do to anything fancy, but you better remember all the names and commands well.
