Thread Starter
Is it possible to reach 5ghz with HT on stably with a 2600k? Iv'e seen people reaching around 4.8ghz with air and 5+ on water with the 2500k. Any comments would be much appreciated and happy OCing

Probably, I wouldn't run it 5ghz 24/7 though, unnecessary and would probably burn it out. I am still on my Q6600 though so I wouldn't know.

Depends on your comfort level with voltage. My 2600K takes 1.5vcore to get there stable. I prefer to run at 4.8 with a vcore of around 1.4ish.

As long as your temps are in check (under 80), there shouldn't be any problems. Most people will run their 2500K and 2600K chips at a more reasonable clock speed for 24/7 use to prolonge the life of the chip. But this is OCN...
