[Destructoid] Review: Bulletstorm

You can’t really play Bulletstorm wrong per se, but it’s a game in which "the point" is fairly easy to miss.

Sure, you can run through its eight-hour campaign, relying on your default military assault rifle to blast through inexhaustible crowds of the game’s punk mutants and bloodthirsty soldiers. As your typical first-person shooting gallery, Bulletstorm holds its own, with a wealth of scripted “oh, ****!” moments and solid base mechanics that just feel right. So if you want to dash from firefight to firefight, mindlessly unloading clips at anything that moves, go for it. You’ll probably have a blast.

But playing Bulletstorm like a standard first-person shooter would be a disservice to yourself, and the fastest way to miss the point. If every kill doesn’t feel like an entirely new, heart-pounding experience, you’re doing it wrong. Because beneath Bulletstorm's potty-mouthed, gore-drenched exterior, People Can Fly and Epic Games have delivered a remarkably sophisticated and original shooter.

From what I have seen and read you seem to be missing the point of the game completely...

Yea nothing special with this game, except for the fact that it revolutionized First Person Shooters and actually made them fun again. Nothing much........

EDIT: I understand it isn't your "Cup of Tea" but it is in no way "not special".

Well I am more of a Multiplayer guy.. singleplayer is a waste of time and money

Games like Battlefield 2 are worth my money.. where I can spend years!

We will see how this game turns out, it seems to be another console port tho.. since its already on the stupid consoles

I guess opinions are a thing of the past on this forum.

My comment was aimed at ..."it's just the usual shooter full with randomness" ... the fact that someone likes or doesn't like the game is irrelevant to my statement... then again, I am not sure why I am taking the time to explain myself because chances are I will have to post again to explain what I wrote here drunken.gif
