But I had to touch the second card, my original cooler broke and I didn't want to RMA it just for that.

No, you should throw them in the trash, punch yourself in the face for trying to scam a company and then go buy new cards...and dont even attempt to modify them.

When PEBKAC there is no standing for an RMA claim. Explain to your parents that you hosed $600 of their money because you HAD to screw around with the stock cooling on your video cards.

I wonder what HIS would think of this whole thread. You've openly admitted you caused the issue and you're still asking how to successfully RMA the cards.

Man up and take the fall.

Ouch.... That really sucks. Think I can still trust a Corsair AX750W (model under yours) with crossfire'd Sapphire HD6870's? Very noobish of a question - I've own Corsair PSU's before and I know they're top grade. Just trying to see if this new AX series is as good as what I'm used to ;-)

Next time if you want to do somthing so delicate yourself, make sure there is a tech savvy experienced person (prefferably much older than yourself) standing by to help you.

Those are very expensive cards to be breaking.

If they do not allow RMA (which they probly wont and i dont encourage. Its RMA's like this that make products so expensive) your best bet is to send your card to that guy who said he can fix it.

PS- dont unlock the card its hardly worth the gain and its another warrenty voider which youve already struck so many of.
