his problem is 100% unrelated to the PSU im sure, dont worry about it.
Your PSU should handle those cards fine.

As mentioned - rma'ing a card that was killed by your actions and not the result of workmanship from the company is fraud - it will work most of the time - but its illegal - nice moral position if you do do it.
