damn right. I dont think anything else compares to the augmentation space marines go through. Not just physically, but mentally also.

I think they would be your best choice for sure.

Mechwarrior - neuro interfaces
Syndicate - kidnapped and robotised

Off the top of my head for games

In real life check out brain computer interfaces like braingate and ocz's nia. Oh and more recently an article in new scientist about cars that let you drive using a non invasive neural interface.

If its in regards to Gordon Freeman, well he is just wearing a suit, its not really an augmentation. The headcrab zombie would be more of an augmentation considering the physical state of the being is changed through headcrab. The zombies are stronger than normal humans and a bit more resilient.

Wow, I wasn't expecting so many replies! Thanks for all of them; I appreciate it!

I'll definitely be using the speed/strength in Crysis. Which of the Halo games has the best graphical representation of the modification? I don't necessarily need to see the process; just the direct result. I.E., for Crysis I'm going to show Nomad throwing guys around and running up to them quickly and blasting them away. Something like that that's obviously a result of augmentation. Do Halo, and 40k have something like that?

I'll definitely be using Bioshock because I have it and it's easy to make the case for plasmids as a possibility if they package them in a way that would allow them to enter the cell. I will also be looking at Deus Ex based solely of the new trailer I saw the other day. Do the first 2 games have the same degree of augmentation?

Thanks again!

In Halo, Masterchief is always doing something incredible, not to mention that he has an AI directly interfaced with his grape. Warhammer just came out with a CG animated movie that showed the UltraMarines taking some serious punishment as well as dealing the pain with the chainsword. If that don't strike your fancy, then the games all show the Space Marines being awesome, but they are Marines and being awesome is in the job description.

I'm not sure about the third Deus Ex game, but the first two the guy could have been considered a robot by the time the game ended.

The Spartan suit is the likely route that they would take coupled with genetic modification similar to the earlier designs like in Reach. Their always gonna take the more cost effective option.

The whole Deus Ex storyline is about Human Augmentation. JC Denton is a clone of his "brother", and is augmented with nanotech. The first game takes place in the 2050's, in a scenario where augmentation is widespread. The 3rd game is set at the dawn of the nanotech era
