Hey ocn...i'm thinking the gigabyte 560 SOC will be my next upgrade but i can't seem to find it anywhere, when i look for it in amazon even all i get are the MSI versions of the card...but i want the SOC cause of it's nice out of box 1ghz core speed, and i saw in some of the tests its on par and sometimes surpasses the 570...so where can i get my mits on one?

not just that there selling like hot cakes but also very low number of quanities being released since they are being done by hand (hand picked, clocked manually and tested with Furmark and such manually) soo gotta get really lucky to find one.

How about if i get the MSI version of the 560 and try for a high overclock myself...cause i can personally say that msi cards especially the ones fitted with the twin frozr cooler...overclock very nicely

Ok then it looks like i have answered my own question...incase you guys are wondering the same as I am...YES the MSI card can hit impressive clock speeds like the gigabyte:

http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/gra...i-1gb-review/8

1020mhz...i can live with that

i wasn't doubting the Twin frozer from MSI but it's tricky tho since it's possible that it will be attainable or not, plus to you might be using a bit more juice for it to reach those speeds.

myself personally if i can't a get a SOC i'll get something rather almost identical to it and that would be the OC version, they both got the same windforce X2 fan layout aswell there both part of the VGA High Durability Class only difference is that there overclocking proccess which if you ask me that 560Ti OC model could be a SOC in disguise.

specs on the OC model compared to the SOC model (for those who don't know).

560Ti OC

Core: 900mhz

Memory: 1800mhz

Shader: 4000mhz

560Ti SOC

Core: 1000mhz

Memory: 2000mhz

Shader: 4580mhz

to me that OC model would be prolly the best substitute if SOC isn't purchaseable. also to if the OC achieves SOC status you'll save some money to since the OC model is $244 on newegg atm.

but thats my opinion, no disrespect to the Twin Frozer design and all i mean it's a good design just more questionable then the OC model from gigabyte personally. if ya wanna go for the Twin Frozer go for it it's capable.

I was looking around last night and saw that MSI does in fact have a SOC version too...but again its hard to find...its not as fast as the gigabyte but its like 50mhz off in all speed...still not bad...and yea i think a "normal" OC version will have to do and hope i can get SOC specs out of it...i'll still keep looking around though

i've seen some screens of people using the OC model and getting 5000mhz on the memory and it is at maximum(which you won't need tho overall) that it can hold while maintaining over 1000mhz+ on Core and 2000mhz+ on shader while stable, but i know it'll be tricky.

i've read around about the SOC model it's true there hard to find more harder then the gigabyte SOC's, i figure since you wanted the SOC i'd throw a option if one wasn't gonna be attainable.

o also to personally i think the OC model is giga's hidden jewel when it comes to matching the 570 performance aside from the SOC model
