Great review, Just out of interest how high where you able to clock the 560?

not much over 1000mhz is my guess

that is really unchartered territory for air cooling

Great info. The only concern I have is you are saying not to get a 560 over a 460 due to overclock speeds of a 460 matching a stock clock 560. 560's over clock just as well. Not sure about that Gainward card though, looks like a crap cooler.

I have to say that GTX460 1GB cards can be a great deal. I was just at Frys, they have PNY GTX460 1GB cards for $149 after MIR. That is a better price for performance than a GTX560.

Well the 460s overclock better than the 560s thats for sure. The 560s kind of top out near or at 1Ghz even if you give lots of voltage. Not bad, but not too amazing. If I wanted to OC a 560 very high i'd buy the ASUS or Gigabyte ones.

Yea these cards cant go too far. The only ones who will easily make it over 1Ghz is are the Gigabyte SOC and ASUS DCII. As for this perticular card, I couldn't get anywhere because every time i touched the voltage the drivers would crash and throttle the card. I didnt have time to try another verison (was same for 460 too) and i didnt bother seeing what it could do on stock volts.

Cool review! I was just reading in the new CPU mag where they compare GTX560s from EVGA, Galaxy, MSI, PNY, Sparkle, and Zotac. In the same issue they do some comparing between the GTX460 and GTX560 Ti saying the overclock ceiling for both is around 20%. Sparkle's Calibre X560 looks pretty nice. 1,000Mhz core clock but its a triple slot card.

here in bulgaria GTX 460 768mb cost 250lv. (its 130-150$) and 465lv. GTX 560
if we make price vs price i will get 2x GTX 460 768mb ... and this means -> 50% faster than GTX 560 wink.gif
