Current C300

Thread Starter
I have a 64gb C300 and I'm getting the following speeds (the read speeds kind of seem lower than they should be as I have it plugged in the 6GBPS port?):

I'd like to know how much of an increase in speed I'd get if I were to RAID it with another drive C300.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.

If anybody has the 64GB in some sort of RAID, could they post a pic with CrystalDiskMark?

Were you going to link to this?

For some reason, I thought it would be a slight bigger of a difference or is that a substantial difference?

That looks like a single drive not raid 0

This isn't crystal disk but AS SSD. But you get the idea. I have the same chipset as you but my board is the evo.

Honestly though man I have since broke up the raid. I felt absolutely no difference with a single drive compared to the raid. I have the other drive in an htpc.

The numbers are nuts and the benchies look great. But unless you have multiple ssd's to transfer files between you will never see those numbers.

A good thing is it doubles your write speed which is pretty slow in these. But for me with one drive stuff installs crazy fast already.

I was drooling over the sata 6gbs raid benches on these boards. But it turned out a waste. But if you need more space this is the cheapest way and the speed boost is just a bonus.

Wow, those are ridiculous speeds! Did you at least notice a difference in boot time?

@ mr.derp, I would've been inclined to say the same but my tests were significantly lower than the ones I posted from Google. Any ideas?

I didn't time it or anything but I didn't notice.

As for your current speeds what driver are you using? Did you install the intel rapid storage driver? Are you sure you are on the right port?

Turned out I was using the 32bit of CDM. Used the 64 bit and got much better speeds.
