E5300@4GHz+GTX560Ti ???

Thread Starter
Hi, I would like to buy an GTX560, but I'm worried about my CPU, e5300, which is running at 4GHz (12.5x320) with 4GB of RAM @ 1066MHz (5-5-5-15).
What should I do? Thanks

I'm talking the CPU. Forgot to mention that.

If you're doing because you want to break benchmarking records ... don't.

If you just want to be able to enjoy higher graphics settings with either the same or more fps than you can now ... go for it.

I'm not interested in bench records... with my 9800GT, I'm getting 120fps in most games on lowest settings, and if i turn most of those settings on high in RE5 I'm getting around 85fps, or, 55-75fps when everything on max at 720p... So, I'm thinking, CPU could probably push enough, I know there would be some frame dropping during level loading...

So, iz Q9550 still good compared to i5/i7, should i get a used one, I don't have enough cash to upgrade everything, also, i like my E5300 because of Dolphin/PCSX2...

You will be fine, but do not expect the same fps as reviews of the 560. i am in the same boat as you. E5400 @3.5 and a 460. So the scenario is almost identical. @1080p i get 25 fps in badcompany 2 and 46fps in dirt2.
