$1050 budget need advice

I'd like a HD tv + Surround sound.

The TV itself does NOT need to be super huge. I'm only going to sit like 1m away from it. I prefer excellent picture quality over size.

Just wondering if a surround set + tv is possible for that budget?

I was also thinking about getting a 300$ ps3 but then i'd have to spend 300$ on the ps3, 600$ on the tv and only 150$ on surround...which aint gonna deliver great sound systems afaik.

My housemate recently got a 40 inch samsung tv from bestbuy for $699 (CAD). It is a beauty, LED and 1080p!

As for surround sound, are you looking for 5.1 or 7.1?
These are great logitech speakers!
