P.S. The Demo locks Ultra high Video settings however it appears if you use the configurator on the launch menu instead of in game you can set to very high.(WARNING I got 10fps max during battle on Max @ 1680x1050 DX11 on my Rig) Also AF is only on the in game options for some reason.

Cheers

For a mediocre looking game, the performance is horrible.

oh man. console ports i am sad. the witcher 2 looks like it's shaping up to be much more PC oriented, while DA2 still looks pretty fun. i'm gonna give this demo a download right now and come back later.

To coin a phrase it gang raped my PC, but i didn't have anything nice to look at unlike when Crysis does it. My CPU was only at 60% on all cores as well.

Once on medium the game play wasn't all that bad although it gives the impression it doesn't know if its a Classic RPG or God of War.

Just my 2c

Demo was fun and didn't look too bad. But it does look like a console port.

It plays horrible in DX10. To have DX10 enabled you need to enable DX11 in the configuration. There's no difference in visuals other than DX10 not allowing AA to be used. DX9 plays smoothly with AA on without any hiccups.

"High" video quality isn't optimized very well. On "High" I get 20-30 FPS, switch it to "Medium" and my FPS jumps to 60. Each mode w/16x AA and 8x AF.

Only difference I can tell from "High" and "Medium" are cloud shadows on the ground.

Im presuming the "ultra high" isnt ready yet as going from high to ultra high = 20+ fps drop

You can enable "Ultra High"? That setting is disabled on mine under DirectX 11. It says it's not a feature of the demo. I mean via in-game video settings and not the Windows configuration utility. Not sure if the Windows config utility "Ultra High" applies, as it's defaulted to "High" in-game.

I think the Ultra high does apply as it drops me down to 10 fps.
