if you can wait for the fix in p67 mobos then you'd get the best platform right now for about $800 budget.

CPU: i7-2600k $310
MOBO: any p67 $150
GPU: gtx 460 $150
PSU: 650w corsair one $70
RAM: 4GB ddr3 $40
HDD: 1tb $50
CASE: cheap case imo $30

so the list totals about 800 even if you could wait for a month or so. totally worth it with Sandy Bridge

i work with heavy files in photoshop so i need juice> 2gb wont do it for me and need like 6gb, cpu speed and a very nice gfx card.
