if you game alot and don't do alot of video editing, photoshop then get the i5-2500k instead because there won't be much difference in gaming between 2600k and 2500k. Instead put that $100 extra bucks in hd 6950 then you have yourself some crysis with 60+ fps

Then get 8GB of that RAM. Rebate on that RAM is 2/person, you can get 8GB of the RAM I suggested for $40 AR. 6GB (assuming 3x2GB) not optimal on AMD due to no triple channel support. SSDs will work best with higher speed/lower latency RAM, and that kit overclocks fairly well.

sorry to double post but i think 2600k will be superb because you work with photoshop. And gtx 460 is much better deal than HD 5770. By the way, photoshop is CPU inclined so get a 2600k at least, a good graphics card won't help much in photoshop...

I'm personally recommending to go with AM3 platform now, then take the AM3+ upgrade path and go for Bulldozer in time. Save your money.

you mean after bulldozer comes out, sell both your cpu and mobo to upgrade to bulldozer?? wouldn't that be a problem cost-wise?

No, AM3+ will be up to 8 cores on the new Bulldozer architecture.
There are inexpensive AM3 boards right now that will do you well until AM3 boards are out. Specifically, go for this board as it is at the greatest price I have ever seen in 4 months. Absolutely unbeatable.
