The 10% off memory and 10% off X6 codes don't seem to work for some reason. It says they are valid codes, but it says that the items do not qualify.
I come up with ~$725 for the megaladon build (use $5 off memory code instead) with shipping and MIRs. I haven't run the others so I'm not sure if there are other codes problems or not. Sometimes newegg switches these things around suddenly and plays "games" so to speak....
I "ran the numbers" on the "number cruncher" and came up with $388 before MIRs with the following codes: EMCKHHH42 EMCKHHH44 EMCKHHH35. $55 worth of MIRs brings the total to $333. Still a great deal.
I got to thinking.... a lot of people hate MIRs, and just like convenience... Here's a great deal with no MIRs involved at all and everything can be ordered from 1 vendor:
X3 450 + A770E3
Case + Optical
RAM (order 2, use promo)
Seagate 500GB 7200RPM
Apply promo EMCKHHH38
That's $341 with no mail-in-rebates required, only $8 more than the "number cruncher" after all rebates have come back in. Yea the RAM isn't as fast and the mobo isn't as desirable, but since this probably isn't a build intended for an enthusiast OCer anyways, the faster CPU will probably make up for these issues and wind up overcoming them.
If you are an MIR junkie....
ThermalTake 430W + Asus GT430
Propus 640 + Asus 790X EVO
The HyperX deal
500GB 7200RPM Seagate
ThermalTake V3 Case
+ $9 shipping
Apply these promo codes: $15 savings
$77 worth of MIR later:
