yeah, not every card can OC to 1 GHz, but it's truly hard to find this GIGABYTE 560SOC of core clock 1GHz.
My friend have waited for a month and eventually get this one last week, he's satisfied with this card's performance, if you are patient enough to wait for this card, just go for it.

Pay for the Overclock or do it yourself? If you can do it yourself why not save the 30 bucks.

Go w/ the MSI 560. The cooler is the best of all the 560's hand's down which obviously will help if you do try to OC it. And like has been said, they won't all reach 1ghz, but they all do OC fairly well still, unless you get a bad egg.

Well, the SOC is supposed to have better power delivery than other cards, which is supposed to make it stable and even more efficient than a stock card OC'd to 1000MHz. According. O Gigabyte, stock card @ 1000MHz is like 235watts, Gigabyte SOC is like 208watts, or around there. Can't remember exact numbers. Plus, the SOC has all parts cooled, I believe. It seems some of the other brands don't have VRM cooling. Can't remember which ones now. There was a whole thread on 560 cooling options when it first came out. Very informative. Look it up. I thought the SOC was worth the money. I guess the next and maybe remaining Gigabyte SOC's will be 950MHz though.

the OSC 1000ghz is not for sale right now. The 950ghz version is. Which is 822 ref OC'd to 950. U can go a little higher. The 1000ghz is stock 1000ghz. If u want to save the few bucks u can overclock the 950 (which is what they are selling on Newegg right now). Its still a beast don't get me wrong. But DEF not the 1000ghz stock SOC one. GL

Also, I hate the look of the SOC. imho but is a nasty card non the less
