going Mini ATX

Thread Starter
I'm looking to pick up a new case in the near future and the ones that are making the short list are cases like the Thermaltake Lanbox and LanGear's Da Box. The main reason why I am deciding to go this route is for portability's sake.I'm absolutetely enthralled with the idea of being able to pick up and go.

The only caveat is that I have a coolermaster hyper212 plus that I would like to continue using, but none of the cases I have seen have the clearance for it.

Do any of you guys have any suggestions?

i think you'd be better off looking into nzxt vulcan.you'll be able to use taller coolers and large vcards. it has a handle to carry it with. in fact theres one in the forums for sale.$50 shipped is a great deal to.

thermaltake also has a new case for matx. thoght about pickin this one up myself.

Maybe that? The PSU might be in the way of your heat sink, though. It's hard to tell.

Lan Gear Da Box is one of the few that will allow you to use a larger HSF. You can try looking for a NZXT Rogue, but they are difficult to find.

with a case like that youll have to use stock or a low profile cooler.
you wont fit your hyper 212 in their.
(: unless you get LANgear Dabox or find a nzxt rouge 2nd hand

I love the look of that case. but then I got to thinking: "what else does Lian Li have in that size?" and after a little hunting around I came across this: http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?p=1036880630 The guy was able to stuff a megahalem inside it. Now if that fits, the Hyper 212+ will definitely fit with headroom. yay!
