ocn keyboard or xarmor U9BL-S

Thread Starter
been reading through the forums and am having trouble deciding on what keyboard to get.

the xarmor seems like a newer model and I haven't been able to find many reviews for it.

as for the OCN keyboard I have been trying to determine if it is a 9008 or 9008g2?

for the record the usb hub and audio ports don't matter to me and either does backlighting. They are welcome features but not required. I am more concerned about which one will last longer and type better.

the Ducky on OCN is G1 not G2

the Xarmor model you spoke about is new.

If you don't care about backlighting or the ports on the keyboard the choice is simple, go for the OCN ducky.

either properly cared for should last you pretty much a lifetime.

as far as typing better, they both have the option of either Blue or Brown switch's, so it will be pretty much the same.

You can buy the Ducky G2 on Ebay here. $13 shipping from California.

that is a mighty sexy board.

I guess I can go ahead and rule out the xarmor then.

what are the major differences between the g1 and g2, from the pictures it seems the keys and construction are at a much higher degree of quality.

didn't mention but I am returning my black widow after a few of the keys failed to work.

the G2 fix's some quality issues (not big issues) just little things from what I've heard

the G2 still use's PBT Keycaps I believe and they tend to go glossy/shiny

BTW I want the G2 off ebay but I don't want the bilingual keycaps heh, so waiting continues.

didn't even notice that, the black on black in the pictures hid those. is there anything else worth looking at in this price range.

If the g1 just had a few minor issues I don't see the reason to spend an extra $70 so dollars for it.

for for $170 and under there are alot of keyboards to look at.

Filco
Leopold
rosewill
deck
ducky
Razer
Das Keyboard

Noppoo choc mini's are awesome
plu-87

I wish I could make up my own mind on what I want to get recently haha.

gah, now my decision just got 5 times harder

I did like the black widow aside from the lack of quality, it did addict me to the mechanical keys.

Getting ahold of a Filco or Leopold right now is not easily possible.....IT IS possible, but you're likely to be ordering from overseas for a filco.

only place I know that had the rosewill is newegg and its deactivated/out of stock

so really its deck, ducky, xarmor, razer and DasKeyboard

Deck's are on the most expensive side of those.

yeah I have been searching for the others and am not getting much luck. I did find this. http://www.mechkeyboards.com/tiger.html, which is a g2 with english key caps, so I am wondering if the ebay retailer is just using a stock photo or if they ship with the other keycaps.

heard the das is on par with the ducky, is the decky much better?
