Need help on fixing sound card problems or revert to using onboard? - Page 3

Revo Uninstaller is the program I use to remove programs on my computer. It uninstalls the program, then sweeps the registry and removes EVERY single trace of it. Even for 30 day trial programs, if you uninstall with Revo and reinstall it, it'll show up as if you never installed the program ever. Usually when you try and do this with Add/Remove Windows program, it'll say your trial period expired, even after uninstalling and installing it again.

I would uninstall the sound card drivers with Revo, then install the unified drivers again.

Also, make sure that the settings in BIOS are correct for what sound the computer is using. Also, try remounting the card.

Where did you place the card btw? It's known to suffer problems next to graphics cards. If you can, mount it was far away from the GFX card as you can.

All settings were correct from day 1 I got the card. Remounting did nothing, and it's placed 2 slots from the GPU.

Already tried cleaning up drivers with CCleaner, as it does the same thing as RevoUninstaller, only it's better since it's totally free.

(Actually it does NOT do the same job as Revo Uninstaller and Revo Uninstaller IS free..don't get me wrong, I love Ccleaner, but it doesn't hold a candle to Revo in terms of uninstalling things and truely clearing the registry.)

Sorry, man. Don't know what it could be.

Thanks for trying to help anyway. I wish the fix was this easy for this card, I really do but I've tried just about everything, and it was a clean installation that it was first installed on.
