OP says he's running BF with the new RAM and NB@2.6 and 4Gh CPU. with 90% CPU load and 60% GPU load.
He DIDN'T say thats runnin in low FPS, did he? So why still taking on bottlenecks?
If you read it, it says his old system with 4870 crossfired gets 40 FPS, newer system with crossfired 6970 gets 50 FPS. With dual cards you're not suppose to be getting such crappy framerates considering you're playing at the right resolution. But this game is CPU intensive, as I've said before I have BC2 maxed at 1920x1200 with only one 5870 averaging 75 FPS on stock settings.
What the OP should do is try playing at a higher resolution instead of 1600x900. If you look at his screen shots the CPU is getting all the usage while the GPU barely gets 50-60%. Because of the low resolution the OP is playing at the CPU is getting stressed more than the GPU. So the CPU gets fully utilized while the GPU's hover at only 50-60% usage.
But I honestly believe the OP upgrading to faster memory isn't going to help boost FPS. Higher speed memory will only help in overclocking and benchmarks. More or higher speed memory don't do squat for FPS. The OP would be better spending that money on a higher resolution monitor.
