Is HAF-X good ?

Thread Starter
Is it good in space, temperature, overall quality ?
I'll have to switch fans with better ones or the default ones are already good ?
(I have 4 Cooler Master R4 2000RPM, 69,69 CFM, 19 dBA)

Yes in space. The 200+mm fans that come with it are fine unless you want to watercool. Maybe change the 140mm fan on the back depending on conditions. And as for quality...

There is a reason CoolerMaster stuck with the HAF line for so long now. It's been popular and performs well for an inexpensive price

Short answer is yes to all of the criteria you mentioned.

If you want a less biased answer (not saying that mine is since I don't own it) you would be better off with Newegg and Amazon reviews so you can get information from owners.

I have one and would highly recommend it. Its quiet and moves a lot of air. Install is well thought out and there is tons of room for everything. If you have the dough I would get an 800D but the HAF-X is great for the price.

i love mine....the thing i like the most is that it can house large fans which can run at lower "quieter" rpm

It truly is a fine case. Cooling, cable organization, space, looks, and control panel connections are all A+ quality. In addition, if the going gets tough and I get evicted I can live in it.

The case is good, as long as you like the industrial design of the case. It does a fine air cooling job, however they dont look classy and sleek.
If you like a more sophistication, and class for your computer cases, along with fantastic air cooling then you might want to look else where. Silverstone or Lian Li maybe. I am drooling over modded cases these days i.e. CaseLabs M10 or even their T series.

HAF X is an excellent case. I upgraded from 922 to HAF X without regrets. I suddenly fallen in love with huge tower.
