standoff screws?? any advice..

I need some advice.I just started a new build.so i am rebuilding two other comps..My ?? is.. can I use insulated standoff screws?cause I was under the impression,that the mobo needed to be grounded thru case, with standoff screws...Any advice,appreciated

don't insulated the board with standoffs, the PSU gets its ground connection to the case using the stand offs.

No, it will make a difference. Do NOT insulate the board or the PSU will have no ground.

this is not true. Where do you think the computer gets ground from? the power cord, which is plugged into the PSU.

The case gets ground from the standoffs, which get ground from the motherboard, and the motherboard gets ground from the PSU.

You don't want to insulate the case because it can cause really weird issues with sound and all sorts of odd things. I have heard of people getting shocked by a non grounded case that builds up static from moving air and dust.

i never used standoffs with my case or mobo bcuz the case has convex surface inside. How do you ground the case? Im new to this stuff because i never think it'd affect the sound
