I think I need a new HDD...

My home server has been really sluggish lately, so I ran HDTune on it.

The scary thing is the drive's S.M.A.R.T. status is Good, according to CrystalDiskInfo.

I think I'm gonna do a full backup and go buy a new drive ASAP.

EDIT
Apparently I had a bad SATA cable. I swapped it for a different one and the drive works fine now.

Have you tried checking the sata port, I have had a drive do that before and it was because the sata port was weird.

I suspect software issue, try benchmarking it on ubuntu?

Good idea, I'll check after I do a backup.

I doubt it, I have a 2 TB Spinpoint as a secondary drive and it looks quite normal in HD Tune.
