as the title says i'm temted to upgrade one of my folding rigs cpu for a Phenom II X6 1055T. is it posible to fold bigadv ?

yes it can see the folding guides there is one about X6 under ubuntu

you can other run in linux or vmware..need a lots of step when run in vmware..

Not natively; you need to use a Linux VMware or an actual Linux Distro to fake an extra 2 cores, and that will allow you to download the -bigadv WU.
