65nm to 45nm question.

Sorry if this is wrong section.

i have a foxconn g33m02 mobo
currently with a e4600 cpu and i plan to upgrade to a e8400 cpu
BIOS version 1.0.15

do i have to upgrade the BIOS going from e4600 65nm to the e8400 45nm?

12 min without a response and you bump the thread?

Take a look at the BIOS patch notes. If you see anything related to 45nm support, yeah you'll probably need it. I can't get to the foxconn drive page, appears to be down.

Your board claims it supports 45nm chips, so I'd update the BIOS and give it a whirl.
