Atrix, this phone is pretty damn amazing. Got the first and only one in stock at a local radioshack yesterday, and its unbelievably fast, the screen is massive, the build quality superb. The only gripe I have about it is that I lost my unlimited or 5 GB data plan for 15 bucks, and now have to pay 25 bucks for the 2GB plan. AT&T really upsets me sometimes...

That 2GB is gonna be so easy to hit. If I wasn't grandfathered into my unlimited plan for the Atrix, I wouldn't have done it.

I'm in the same boat, torn between the two phones. Really what it comes down to for me is on the hardware side the Atrix wins out while on the software side the Inspire wins out. My biggest fear about the inspire is the battery being as small as it is. On the Atrix side though the signed bootloader is possibly a bigger bummer. It's hard to say which one will be better down the road... The Atrix is obviously a powerhouse and would seem to be a more "futureproof" option however the android hacking community does amazing things in regards to optimization and keeping devices running smoothly. Since the bootloader on the Atrix is Signed You're not going to get that support from the community unless by some miracle a key is leaked to unlock the bootloader.

If you're not into custom roms and total customization of your phone then definitely get the Atrix, otherwise I'd recommend the Inspire. Just my opinion but I think a year from now the Inspire will still be chugging along thanks to forums like XDA and the Atrix will be dropped by Moto as soon as they put out a few new phones, leaving you stuck with Gingerbread (if it even gets Gingerbread by then).

Personally I think I'm going to hold my upgrade until HTC releases a dual core phone and keep my fingers crossed that they do in the next few months.

You CAN keep unlimited, call AT&T back right away/go back to a store and demand you get it back. They tried this with some people, don't let them do it to you.

for either phone i recomend using wireless.amazon.com to make your upgrade as you will save money over AT&Ts website. Also, all phones have free 2 day shipping except Atrix which is back ordred till the 8th of next month.

The inspire is 70 dollars on amazon versus 100 on AT & T. it has gotten praise for its responsiveness through Android OS and atrix is said to be very responsive as well.

basically, if u want to play hardcore phone games and loads of multitasking consider the atrix, otherwise the inspire is an awesome choice, and of course HTC is a very reliable brand in all aspects.

check out this video, which sold me and many others on the inspire. the video is actually for the "Desire HD" which is the European prequel to the inspire basically the same phone except the inspire is updated.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GHO9A...layer_embedded
The fact that I already love HTC, and then watching that video, man. All of the features they introduced and not one mention of one the greatest features (Android), and it still was an impressive phone.

Had the Inspire for a week. Returned it for the Atrix. Best decision I've ever made!

The Inspire is a great phone, but the Atrix is a great great great phone. For $100 more, it just makes sense.

Here is a link to a small review I did here where I compared the two a bit:
http://www.overclock.net/mobile-phon...ns-review.html

As far as MOTOBLUR vs. Sense, I agree. Though a lot of the people here haven't seen the new MOTOBLUR yet, it's a lot less bloaty than before, it's almost identical to Sense. But really, why does any of that matter? Both phones are easily rooted.

Get the Atrix. Really.
