Would overclocking the cpu, prevent further OC of gpu? - Page 2

that would do it for sure. I thought that you had upped the voltage already, sorry venomblade!

Try and overclock the memory too! Not just the core clock.

Ask on the Nvidia forum, I don't have a 560 and never used one. I found a review on the SONIC version and they were able to overvolt it with software.

I wish I could help you, but I have no experience with your card... My Asus 470 came with voltage tweak on the side of the box

Not sure if NB would have any effect on the GPU, but I know I was getting random crashes every other day with my 6870 for a while, so I increased my NB voltage since it seemed to always be the main issue at 2600, and I haven't gotten any crashes since.

Try it with this version of Afterburner.

OP does your chip support voltage increases?

The best place for this question is http://www.overclock.net/nvidia/

As the AMD chip isn't going to prevent you from overclocking your gpu in anyway.

Edit: Here is a review of the card: http://www.guru3d.com/article/gigaby...ti-soc-review/
they only use the 1000 chips that pass there gpu gauntlet the others are used as reg ti's

Ok :/ well max OC on stock voltage for me was 930 core, 2165 mem. What bums me out is even on maxed out voltage on msi afterburner 1.15v, i couldn't hit 1ghz core... Also, when i test my OC with furmark, for some reason the temps jump up like 1 every second until they get to around 86c, however, i've just played 2 hrs of black ops and the max temp was 62c, so temps can't be the issue..1ghz core, on max voltage BSOD while i was playing black ops though..

Why did you make 2 threads about this?
