I've always had 20/20 vision (20/15 in my left eye). However, now that I am past the magic age of 40, I cannot see up close worth a darn. I wear drugstore reading glasses with a magnification of 1.50 so that I can see what is on the screen in front of me w/o straining my eyes.

I don't need to wear mine but I prefer to wear them while on the computer just so I can see the beauty of a game or movie at its best. I don't know what kind they are, just some cheap-o $100 ones from my local optometrist.

I've seen those too. I'm curious what OCN members would have to say about them, but I'm pretty sure I'll never own a pair.

They're not going to help me see anything that isn't already displayed. If it's a matter of things being too dark, I'll just adjust the brightness or gamma.

I don't calibrate my monitor for accurate colors to then throw a yellow sheen over everything.

I wear mine 24/7! Yea even when i sleep, I want to see my dreams clearly too.

I have Bill Blass frames and Versaci frames. The lenses are thinned, anti glared, and supposedly 3m scratch resistant.

I go to a place called For Eyes Only.

at a comfortable sitting distance from my monitor (2ft) I really don't need them, but I would get a blinding migraine if I gamed without them. They are savvy frames with Trivex lens' with transitional's and AR coating. My other "glasses" are Wiley-X Sg1 goggles, Trivex transitional lens. Cost me a pretty penny but how much are your eye's worth when .2g BB's are flying towards your face.

i would get some proper glasses. Those drug store glasses are more trouble than they are worth.

Anyway, I have been using glasses since forever. When I went to kindergarten the principal suggested to m mom that i be put in a school for the blind. Lucky me my mom was stubborn and took me to a great doc. I learned to read that year! I am also nearsighted but so much so that I cant see at any distance without some glasses. I also have ambliopea( i think that is how it is spelled) in my left eye. With my glasses i have 20/20 in my right eye. Crapp/Something in my left eye. My doc says I can't be a pilot, does that count as a disability, im gonna have to as the social security office. maybe im "deserving" of some government "cheese"(as in money!). I pay enough taxes as it is, i should get some back, i don't use any other government services, i should get a refund. O yea, i get those damn jury duty letters. Make me wake up at an ungodly hour, i don't function before 12pm.
