Heat Shrinking my headphones?

Thread Starter
So I think I have OCD or something because I got these Grado SR 80's and I noticed there is a crease on the wire. No wires visible. It appears that the wire is fine but there is still a crease. Should I even be thinking about to heat shrink or electrical tape them?

The white thing on the crease is just light.

try squeezing it the other way or something? Or I'm sure that itll smooth out after a little while. I think if you were to try and cover it, the cover would stick out even worse.

Well, I guess it can't hurt if you try. I'd say go with some electrical tape first, as it'd be less permanent.

Are you really that bothered about a small crease?

The way I see it the more you mess around the larger the chance of you ripping the wire.

If the headphones are working fine and the crease isn't causing a major distraction I don't really see any reason to heat shrink it.

you can sleeve the cable I also did it with my HD 650. However the HD650 is attachable, sleeving a non attachable cable won't be as easy.

I also vote for you to sleeve it.
Electrical tape would look nasty and sometimes leave nasty residue.
Heat shrink would make it stiff and uncomfortable.
