Hello- OC/ Water Cooling/New Build Question

Thread Starter
Hi there folks, first post and I'm hoping to make it a whopper.

A little tidbit before you read, I am software smart, not hardware. Try to work with me.

Well as I just got an amazing tax refund I decided it was time to move past my 4 year old toshiba laptop and build an actual system.

So far I have decided on the 590 gpu when it comes out, i7-2600k and matching mobo. Probably g-skill 2333 ram, 2 ssds raid-0d and other bells and whistles as needed. My budget for this project is going to be roughly 3k without the monitor and I want it to just fly.

Now, I don't know about you guys, but I'm going to assume because I'm posting in the watercooling section that you understand my need for it to look freaking cool. I want my epeen to grow everytime I look at it. I'm talking UV lights, neon around the case, etc etc.

I don't know what case to get to be able to support water cooling, maybe double 590s and the mobo.

It's really hard for me to make a wishlist on newegg because the mobo's are recalled so I can't give you guys an accurate description of the parts I'm getting.

Sooo, long story short, and me getting to the point. Am I going to have install all the tubing, the connectors, and all that stuff to watercool this bad boy? Or is there premade watercooling setups that look, well, badass.

And tips on the case? Are there cases that come with premade watercooling. Or is that just dumb because I have to put the block on the cpu manually.

Sorry for extremely long first post, laying on my couch waiting for the wife to get home.

yes, you will have to install everything. You can get kits, but they just save you the hassle of choosing each and every part separately.

that's the fun of watercooling, assembling it once it's done, it's done lol

for the case, there are some cases that are better for watercooling (corsair obsidian 800D comes to *my* mind) but depending on your willingness and abilities you can mod pretty much any case to have water cooling..

some nice cases for water cooling

corsair cosmos S
thermaltake speedo
odsidian 800d of course
lantec 1200

you can get the speedo case here

for 99.00 GOOD deal

very similar to the cosmos S
lots of room

depending on what you want to water cool the rasa kit is a great start

everything you need for 127.99 it comes with a 240mm rad if you want to cool gpu also I would go with the 360mm rad version and then you will need a water block for your video card, they run about 105-135.00
