MSI is a good brand as a whole, but like HP from model to model they go from great to crap. It really depends on the product in question.
MSI Video cards are some of the best. Not only for the cooling but also for the overclocking ability and support.

Yea, this is a worthless comment, pointing out that if you're going to install an after market cooler, to just get a card that already has it built in. Then you started arguing about a $280 card AFTER the fact, and I simply pointed out that the card is not $280, which it isn't! But in your warped mind, it is.

So you're saying the bulk of your worthless posts was to try to point out that a card I pointed out as $280 is in fact, $288.50? That doesn't help your case at all.

While you're at it, Captain Obvious, tell me that the sun is bigger than the moon.

Yeah MSI is good. I bought a GTX 460 Cyclone from them and am loving it. It's quiet, performs great, and never had to RMA it but from what I hear their RMA process is pretty easy.

I simply pointed that out.

Insulting people after they try and help you is what this led to.

So quote me where I made a mistake in math or spelling (except for that one typo).

I hate to stoop to your level but I can easily pick at your grammar. Grammatical errors are evident throughout your posts but the fact that the posts have no substance detracts from the problem of there being grammatical errors.

To correct your last sentence, it should be "Insulting people after they try to help you is what led to this."

Thank you for the insight. I have never used an MSI product before but have heard many horror stories about their rebates and so I made this thread.

I am guilty of responding to the troll but I feel obliged to as he is trying to crap on my thread with nonsensical comments, accusing me of making points that I never did.

I'm thinking of buying an MSI GTX 570 at Newegg (on sale for $290).

Does it void the warranty if I OC or install an aftermarket cooler? Are they good with RMAs?

No! They are not! Meaning stingy with rebates or RMA's. Ive had two rebates with them, no problem, and one RMA, that was caused by me blowing up my motherboard overclocking, no problem.

With that being said their 4+1 phase boards do not interest me anymore, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy a Twin Frozr video card, or cyclone.

I would probably buy an MSI video card if the price was right AND no rebate was involved. I would not buy an MSI mobo. ASUS and Gigabyte > MSI.
