that i'm not sure, but i would just be assuming so due to the usb transfer in general is slow, (2.0 atleast) and i'm hoping when my order comes in tomorrow the eSATA cable, it would resolve the issue.

do you think the FPS dropped because of the usb not being able to transfer fast ennough or? something just went wrong

okay well, my cable I ordered from amazon is here, unfortunately it doesn't work (doesn't detect a connection)

for example when i use a usb, it works and you the sound of when a device is connected.

if i use an eSATA cable, it doesn't work. and I'm pretty sure the caddy/hd is set up correctly.

would this have something to do with the cable, hard drive or even the bio settings?

when I go on the setting on F2 Setup, I see on advance tab

SATA Operation : [AHCI]

There is also ATA but its set on AHCI.

eSATA Ports : Enabled

is there something wrong with even the laptop port maybe?

//edit; interesting

if i plug the eSATA cable (hd/caddy) before starting the laptop boot up, it gets stuck on the loading (the set up F2 and F12 boot up settings), whats up with that?

when I start up the boot with usb, its fine.
