Upgrade Dilemma

Thread Starter
So I'm about to scratch the itch for a new GPU, and atm Radeon seems to be offering the best deals out there. My main question is about the 5870 versus the 6870. From what I've seen, the 5870 is quite a beast, even if it is a little old, and I do prefer single card setups, so I (most likely) wouldn't be utilizing the superior Xfire abilities of the 68. So basically just asking people who have the experience if the 6870 is noticeably slower or not, it seems to win in all the other areas (Xfire, power and heat) Gaming at 1920x1080 btw

Sorry if this post was a little confusing, basically sums up my mindset right now trying to look at so many benchmarks and cards.

PS: ORRRRR would shelling out another 20ish and grabbing a 6950 1GB be the best option?

I'd say get the newer tech, your be more future proof that way.As for the 6950,if you can afford then go for it,then unlock to a 6970,big bang for bucks on that road.
