How do I setup RAID after SSD install (890GPA)?

Thread Starter
I just got my SSD working in AHCI mode... now I can't boot into the RAID menu from the boot screen... it used to be ctrl+f, now it doesn't show any more and goes straight into windows.

According to the manual, if I want to setup RAID:
Quote:
Make sure OnChip SATA Controller is enabled. To enable RAID for the SATA3_0/1/2/3 connectors, set OnChip SATA Type to RAID. To enable RAID for the SATA3_4/5 connectors, set OnChip SATA Type to RAID
and set OnChip SATA Port4/5 Type to As SATA Type (Figure 1). To enable support for RAID 5, set OnChip
SATA RAID5 Support to Enabled.
Problem is, I set OnChip SATA Controller to AHCI for my SSD... so I'm stuck and confused. Can anyone help me out?

Manual for my mobo:

You can't do both.

Its either SSD with ACHI or RAID with... RAID0.

I myself just use RAID with my SSD and RAID0.

Aw crap. Well if I change it back to RAID, I have to reinstall Windows 7, right? It will mess up the boot mgr... blech... what a PITA.

Will I see a performance decrease when running it on RAID (for my SSD)?

Well I didn't even try running mine on AHCI but mine does the advertised specs that are on the side of the package with RAID set in BIOS
