But you could have just bought the BMW with the upgrades you were going to pay to do on the Chevy anyways. Or something witty.

I dont think alot of people understand the GPUs in the Macbooks (unless someone already explained it)

Most of the new macbooks use two GPUs the integrated and a 3rd party (like Nvidia or AMD) when the macbook is in idle mode or not doing anything 3D intensive it switches over to the integrated saving battery, when the computer is playing a game or doing something with 3D models it switches to the AMD or Nvidia GPU

Their hardware is something I love. Specially the track pad.
OSX on the other hand...well, I find Ubuntu better.

Will I ever own one? No. Never.

That is just plain wasteful. Mac OS X is the best Unix ever made from an end user perspective, there is nothing even close. And Mac hardware is well supported by Mac software.

I have Windows, Linux, and Mac's at home and they all serve there purpose.

A Macintosh is like a BMW, it's more expensive but also more refined and comes with a nicer end user experience. But most people want a Chevy. ( Windows )

I am excited for Thunderbolt if you can add discrete graphics to say a Mac mini.....

Also, even though the standard 10Gps x2 is way faster than any single device you are likely to use, it's meant as a sort of highway for multiple devices to be daisy chained on which then makes for more throughput.
I wish there was a way to purchase MacOSX to run on PC. I actually like it alot

It's not wasteful. My company bought it for me. I wanted to try it out. I didn't like it. You live and learn and it didn't cost me any money.

Hacked kernels and random sources? This isn't 2006 dude. You can install vanilla off the shelf snow leopard easy with only a couple of modifications. If you buy the right hardware all you need is an efi bootloader and a dsdt. My hackintosh worked perfectly. I just didn't like MacOSX.

Yes you would need a hacked kernel because you have an AMD chip. Us Intel guys with x58 or p55 are good to go.

Misinformed person is misinformed.

You missed the main point being, unsupported.

It's no different than running cracked windows, I never said it was hard to do, just that it's a bad idea.
