4 RAM sticks with cpu overclocking?

Thread Starter
Hi again, this is my second post

I'm going to get 4 sticks of 2gb HyperX Blu DDR3 1600, but I read something about using all 4 sticks with overclocking and that it can cause issues, and I'm intending to do one of the below overclocks (i5 760, 2.8 Ghz):
- 3.2 Ghz (160x20) - 1600 Mhz (160x10)
- 3.6 Ghz (200x18) - 1600 Mhz (200x8) <- If I could get 200 bclk

So I'm not going to overclock the RAM, just will tighten the timings if it works. Is this will make any issues? or I will be fine?

Thanks a lot in advance.

when you up the bclk, you automatically raise your memory clock...
so keep the bclk, on stock, and just change the CPU multiplier.

Thanks for your reply,
Memory frequency = bclk X memory multiplier. I can keep it on its stock speed by changing its multiplier to 8/10 instead of 12, depending on the used bclk. So i think this is not the problem.

The problem is: could I face issues by using 4 stick (all the available slots), or no problem since I'm using 4 identical sticks (same brand, model, timings, capacity..etc)

Thanks

You might have to increase the NB voltage, cause 4 sticks have to be fed.
I got 4sticks and don`t have any problems even with the RAM overclocked.
