also what do you guys put your fan speed at, thinkin of grabin an aftermarket cooler (will adding this to my card break my warranty)
thanks a bunch dom
btw i am using Afterburner and GPUtool to oc the card

You can adjust a fan curve in MSI AB so the temps don't get too high.

And the temp should be normal, my card hits a little over 60s and close to 70s when testing with furmark.

but my card goes up to the high 70's/ just below 80's

Might wanna increase fan speed in that case, and maybe apply new TIM(AS5) if its using stock.

really i thought stock would be best until i can buy a new cooler i have scene quite a few pics where manufactorers put on way to much tim, but again i thought this was onlt a few of the cards an most were done properly, will putting a new cooler on break my warranty?

Well, according to this:
http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum...-question.html

You should be able to install an aftermarket cooler w/o voiding the warranty.

My card loads up to 92/93C in Furmark.
By default the fan profile is set to run around 50-55% at this temperature.

Those operating temps are fine, just don't break 100.

Going straight to 70 will make me uneasy though. Setup a fan profile that goes to like 50 - 55% fan speed at about 60 degree and increase linearly thereafter. Make sure you got Overdrive disabled and that you got MSI Afterburner beta 7. For some reason, fan profile in 2.0 did not seem to stick and always put it back to stock, which is 24%. That will rise your temps to 70 very quick.
And imo, nothing wrong with the stock cooler. Other alternative is water.
