Unable to download new FAH Core on Linux (Solved)

Update: For those of you having trouble getting the FAH Core to download on linux, apparently the issue is that the core files isn't where the client can find it. To fix it, just simply download this and put it inside of your folding directory and you should be good to go:

New Core

Solution / Core File thanks to sks72

Hey guys, well, I recently just upgraded to the newest FAH client 6.34 so that I could nab some nice bigadv units on linux, but my Folding at home no longer works with langouste , and for some reason it can't seem to download the new core. It keeps trying and continuously failing. I've even turned off the -bigadv flag which hasn't helped at all. Anyone know what could be causing this problem? Is it Stanford's servers?

It was even able to send the last work unit I'd been working on, but no Core download...

It does the same thing, btw, if I have the bigadv flag on or off, in that code block though, I had it off because it was working before like that.

Maybe re-download the client and see if that ales your problem?
The issue is that the core file is not where the client can find it. I'm working on manually downloading and decompressing it, should be done in 10 minutes.

Yep, tried it multiple times, even completely reconfigured it.

Awesome, if you could give that to me when you're done, (which I assume you were going to do) I would be eternally grateful to you.

Hmmm, bad link. Closed port? It wasn't letting me connect. You could always upload it to something like mediafire, or my own preferred option is to use dropbox and share the public link to the file... (obviously it has to be in the public folder)

How can the rest of us manually download the core (from Stanford, I assume)?

Thanks.

Edit:
I found it here. Seems to be working for me so far...

I tried to do this actually, and for some reason it wasn't letting me download it.

Never mind my URL. I couldn't figure out how to uncompress it and therefore it actually wasn't working.

I also tried the download link from the first post and that core does not work for me either:
Code:
[04:57:58] CoreStatus = 7E (126)
[04:57:58] Client-core communications error: ERROR 0x7e
[04:57:58] - Attempting to download new core...

This problem is now solved. The Linux client correctly downloads the a5 core.

P.S. here's how to extract the .fah core files automatically:
