Where can i find Elpida Hyper's?!

Looking for some fast ram. Like something abnormally fast. I am trying to get either 2x2gig or 2x4gig. So far iv looked everywhere, and anything fast that isn't powerchip seems to be out of stock or discontinued lol. Is there anyone who knows were this stuff is hiding?

Anyone know if this is any good at 1600mhz-1800mhz?

Or know of something better?

that ram should be about the fastest around..... assuming your board can handle those speeds

That's the same RAM I have. I haven't gotten a chance to play around with it yet. My plans for a 2500k were foiled by Intel's recall. Anyone have any information on the IC's on these memories? I have been searching the nets, but really haven't found much information on them aside from that it's to fast and not needed. I think I have a problem when it comes to buying memory.

That RAM is PSC or Elpida BBSE just about as good as a RAM kit at 1/3 the price.
hypers can be found on eBay.... really that's about it. They're discontinued and rare and cost a lot.

I didn't know elpida hypers got discontinued. Would this particular kit fair well at 1600MHZ at say CL5? I know my processor has a nub memory controller RB-C2 if that affects the ability of being able to clock ram at low latency's.

I used that RAM. Will do 2000 7-9-7-24(1090 + Crosshair IV). I dont know if your 945 can handle that speed (maybe around 1900)
Replaced them with elpida RAM(2x2G A-DATA 2200 8-8-8-24), and I run them @ 1900+ 7-7-7-21. Paid $270 for them.
I also have 2x2G Super Talent RAM 2200 8-8-8-24, paid $210.
As xd_1771 said, are expensive.

dang lol they seem like legendary sticks!
I was also looking at these ones. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820220489

Of course i wouldn't be able to run them at that speed, but rather down clock them and run them at low latency's?

They're probably a high-binned PSC or BBSE kit
Same as every other kit that costs 4x less
post #9 of 23
I run MNH-E Hypers, they do 1.7Ghz on CL6-6-6-18-21 without much of a hassle on stock volts (I've lowered speeds for a matter of CPU speed)

There's a website in the States that still has a kit like mine, but they're almost $280.

Considering I paid 165€ and the hardware conversion in the shops is 1$=1€, I consider that a huge ripoff compared to what I paid for my kit.

GSKILL has some PI Series 2133 CL8-10-8 for around 130€, I believe they use MNH-E chips aswell. You might want to have a look at them.

And yes, they're discontinued. Don't know why, though.

They're discontinued because of lack of supply, mostly... people with money just bought crud-loads of Hypers to see if they can find the best bins inside the lots. It's not like every Hyper was fantastic, it was just that the fantastic ones were the best around.
