Cores>HT

I just leave HT off. I've yet to max 4 cores.

of course....
nobody takes an i7,if all he does is gaming....
but if u r one of the unlucky ones who though ht is gonna improve games a lot then u just wasted a lot of cash......
for me ht does give a nice performance boost while heavy multitasking and a few games like gta4(fps did not increase but overall gameplay became smoother with ht on...same in bfbc2 too....and in all rts games too like dawn of war 2)
so u have paid for ht then use it...

I gave it a try with HT off, not planning to leave it that way just curious. I didn't really notice a speed difference and there wasn't a difference in any graphics benchmark but my cpu benchmarks in Aida64 were much lower. Additionally there was 0 difference in temperature. I'll be leaving it on.
