Motherboard switch

Thread Starter
Hi, firstly let me start of with, like usual, apologize if this is the wrong section.

Now:
I am going to perform a motherboard switch.

I currently have a Packard Bell motherboard (which is locked, hence the upgrade) which has the x58 Intel chipset.

I want to upgrade to ASUS Sabertooth x58.

Now the problem is that I have an OEM edition of Windows 7 home premium x64 and I have heard about that you must reinstall the OS after a motherboard switch, which is - a problem as I do not have a disc.

My questions are basically:
1a. Will I have to reinstall my OS?
1b. If yes; how to?
2a. Is there anything else that I should know before switching?
2b. If yes; what?
3. Any other knowledge you'd feel could be useful to smite me with.

Thanks in advance.

You don't HAVE to, just clear out all the old drivers, install the new motherboard, install new drivers, have a blast. I would recommend getting a backup DVD in case you ever do need to do a clean format, I do one about every 6 months or so just to make sure everything performs optimally.
