XFX Radeon 5850 BE OC?

Thread Starter
Hello guys.

Wondering how to OC my XFX Radeon 5850 Black Edition
Its running on these figures now:
Core: 775mhz
Memory:1125mhz

Tried to OC it with Catalyst, but cant get it higher than 775mhz. Anyway to go past these settings? And if its so, will I need better GPU cooling?

Google enabling unofficial overclocking with afterburner. Also that card is a reference card so you can easily flash the bios to allow overclocking in CCC if you wanted.

Check this thread for bios flash instructions

To get to that high of core and memory clocks you would need to bump the voltage a bit and probably at least have an aftermarket cooler on it.

Okei. thanks for all the help so far. =)

Ive been trying to enable "unofficial overclocking" on MSI Afterburner, but cant get it working! When I open the MSIAfterburner.cfg i dont find the "enable unofficial overclockin". should be there according to this forums:

http://www.overclock.net/ati/641299-...terburner.html

And one more thing: Axe.. Is this good for OC? : Zalman VF3000A GPU Cooler.

Can you help me out here guys?=)
